PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die-casting apparatus in which adequate evacuation is obtained and ingress of molten metal into a stop valve is surely prevented when a cavity is evacuated and the molten metal is injected and filled into the cavity. SOLUTION: The die-casting apparatus includes a stop valve 60 to open/close an exhaust passage, a position detector 70 to detect the opening/closing state of the exhaust passage by the stop valve 60, an injection device 10, a position detector 35 to detect the position of an injection plunger 17, and a control device 30 to control the injection. The control device 30 outputs the control instruction to close the exhaust passage to the stop valve 60 when the detected position of the injection plunger 17 reaches the valve closing position set on the proximal side of the speed changing position, and stops the drive of the injection plunger 17 if completion of the closing of the exhaust passage is not detected when the injection plunger 17 reaches the speed changing position.
