The invention relates to an image-acquisition module comprising a heating device, which is used to monitor the exterior of a motor vehicle. The inventive module consists of a casing (1) comprising a protected interior, a window (2) which is sealed with a transparent element (3), and support means (4) which are used to support an optical system (5) that is disposed facing the window (2). The invention also comprises image-detection means (6) which are housed in the aforementioned casing (1), facing the optical system (5), and which are associated with means for connecting to the exterior for the supply and/or bi-directional exchange of signals. The invention further comprises heating means which supply heat energy to the above-mentioned transparent element (3), or to an area adjacent thereto, in order to prevent problems relating to a lack of transparency, caused by environmental or climatic factors.
