PURPOSE: A method for processing mutual calls between extension subscribers in a private branch exchange system is provided to always satisfy a call request of all of extension subscribers when they call a specific extension subscriber without transmission of a busy line state tone. CONSTITUTION: A call processor creates a mutual call confirmation table according to digit signals of an extension number inputted from the first extension subscriber terminal and stores it in a memory unit(S40). When the first extension subscriber terminal attempts calling but a busy line state tone is generated(S41), the call processor checks the mutual call confirmation table to determine whether either extension subscriber terminals are mutually calling each other(S42,S43). If both extension numbers of the both extension subscriber terminals are identical, it is determined that the extension subscriber terminals are mutually calling each other, and the call processor transmits a busy line state tone stop signal to the first extension subscriber terminal and connects a speech path between the extension subscriber terminals by controlling a speech path switching unit(S44).
