PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing method capable of easily obtaining high detection sensitivity, and an attachment for an analyzing sample container using it. SOLUTION: The attachment 1A has an injection port T1 of a liquid sample 15 and the connection port T2 connected to the open end 12T of the well 12 of the analyzing sample container 10 and is equipped with the additional housing part 3A integrated with the well 12 in a state that the connection port T2 is connected to the open end 12T to constitute a connection space 6 for housing the liquid sample 15. A larger amount of the liquid sample 15 is housed in the connection space 6 and a larger amount of a component to be detected can be extracted from an extraction phase 15B containing the component to be detected after phase separation. Therefore, when spectral analysis is performed, the length (light path length d) in the irradiation direction of the extraction phase 15B irradiated with a measuring luminous flux 70 can be made larger and high sensitivity detection can be performed.
