PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut locking device allowing mounting independently of screw standards without machining screw portions of a bolt and a nut. SOLUTION: Certain fastening force is given to the nut at all times and the nut is automatically fastened before a clearance occurs between the nut and a fastening member, thus preventing the occurrence of the clearance. In a method of automatically fastening the nut, the fastening force is given to the nut at all times by utilizing the releasing force of a spring after compressed to hold the clearance zero.
