PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval device which allows retrieval methods to be selected and added without changing the device itself. SOLUTION: A service menu acquisition part 131 reads out one service menu 100 corresponding to a service menu ID from a service menu storage part 11. A service menu processing part 132 gives a parameter to the service menu 100 to generate a service menu 101 with the parameter. A retrieval performance part 133 refers to the service menu 101 with the parameter stored in a service menu temporary storage part 134 to read out one service class, for example, 111 which is called and designated by the service menu 101 with the parameter but is not read out neither retrieved, from a service class storage part 12. The retrieval performance part 133 generates retrieval formula on the basis of the read service class and performs retrieval on a content storage device 4 in accordance with the retrieval formula.
