PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining wall block which has a front plate having a sufficient stacking strength imparted thereto, wherein the front plate is made of porous concrete. SOLUTION: The retaining wall block is formed of the front plate 2 and a counterfort 3 which are connected together via tying portions 4. The front plate is made of the porous concrete, and a rear surface of the front plate serves as a frame of a form for molding the tying portions and the counterfort, so as to close the tip of each tying portion.
