PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means, in which a place generating a liquid film or a droplet is provided in a multistage, and further a flow rate of the gas at this place is made quick to produce a fine droplet and produce a fluid bed of the gas, dust, and droplet in a partial space, to increase a contact frequency of the dust in the gas with a washing liquid, and to improve a collecting efficiency of the dust. SOLUTION: A washing liquid W is pooled inside a lower portion of a cylindrical column body 30, a gas is supplied to the pooled washing liquid W from a gas supplying portion 32 provided in the lower portion of the cylindrical column body 30, at the same time the gas is discharged from a gas discharging portion 34 provided in the upper portion of the cylindrical column body 30 to wash the dust contained in the gas with the washing liquid W. The inner space S of the cylindrical column body 30 is partitioned up and down by a plurality of partition plates 40 (40a, 40b, 40c, and 40d) to make partial spaces Sa, Sb, Sc, Sd, and Se. A passage opening 41 through which the gas passes is formed between the adjacent partial spaces, and the passage opening 41 upper from a liquid level of the pooled washing liquid W is made narrowly such that a flow rate of the gas becomes large.
