PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall greening unit of a planter type enabling planting many kinds of plants so as to promote greening through attaching to walls of buildings and side walls of roads, and securing water supply not only to an upper part but also to a lower part through bringing a drainage system to a drawing-type to each stage. SOLUTION: This wall greening unit has a water-receiving cover 2 receiving water formed on the top of a plurality of units 1 of a single body or superposed on each other in the up-and-down direction. Each unit 1 has a front frame 3 holding a plurality of trays 4 in a condition of giving a prescribed space in the up-and-down direction and opening a front side, intermediate boards 5 holding the back part of each of the trays 4, a water-retaining material 6 set on the back of the intermediate board and having water permeability, and a back frame 7 holding the back of the water-retaining material 6 and to be attached to a wall. Water supplied from a drain hole 2a set on the water-receiving cover 2 to the water-retaining material 6 is distributed to planting soil 8 filled in each of the trays 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
