Auction clock for temporally limited Internet auctions has an adjustable clock mechanism provided with a first hand (25) that moves over a clock face (30) with a first scale (31) assigned to it. The hand rotates around a shaft with a frictional coupling and moves towards a null time. A second hand (26) moves a single scale division in the time that the first hand completes a revolution. In a limited end region there is a second display (35) with the separation of the markers matched to the second hand.
