PURPOSE: A power saver having an auto-transformer to which a power switching semiconductor is applied and a standby power breaker are provided to stabilize a load voltage even when a surge voltage or a sag voltage is used. CONSTITUTION: A power saver includes input nodes(IN,COM1), a ground node(GND), a controller(60), a protector(50), a standby power breaker(20), a current changer(CT), an auto-transformer(30), a bypass portion(33), a connector(10), a filter(40), a detecting portion, and output nodes(OUT,COM2). The protector protects the components from a lightening or an input surge voltage. The standby power breaker includes a semiconductor element for breaking a standby power consumption during standby. The auto-transformer selectively steps up/down a voltage applied on the connector. The filter is constituted with an inductor having an amorphous core and condensers. The detecting portion detects an input voltage of the current saver. |
