The invention relates to an outside rear-view mirror assembly for a vehicle, which is designed to support an image-detector device. The inventive assembly consists of a casing (1) comprising means for fixing a reflector (5) and means for fixing a detector (6). The aforementioned fixing means are configured and arranged such that it is possible to mount: (a) a first reflector (2) on top of the detector-fixing means (6), thereby concealing same; or (b) a second reflector (3) which is smaller than the first reflector and which leaves the detector-fixing means (6) free for the mounting of an image-detector device (7) in operational conditions.
