PURPOSE: A gel type electrolyte composition of a lithium secondary battery is provided, which improves stability of the battery by preventing solution leakage and giving fire retardancy and gives an excellent storage lifetime and high energy density. And the lithium secondary battery produced by using the electrolyte composition is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The gel type electrolyte composition contains a lithium salt, an organic solvent, an ion conductive polymer, and additionally a phosphate compound to crosslink the ion conductive polymer, wherein the phosphate compound is triacrylic phosphate(TAP) represented by the formula 1. And the lithium secondary battery is produced by a process containing the steps of: preparing an electrode structure comprising a cathode, an anode, and a porous membrane placed between the cathode and the anode; injecting the gel type electrolyte composition into the electrode structure; crosslinking the ion conductive polymer with the phosphate compound. |
