<p>PURPOSE: A method for changing a transmission speed and a base station system using the same are provided to change a transmission speed in consideration of transmission efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A base station system(12) comprises an antenna(28), an RF part(30), a modulation/demodulation part(32), a modulation type control part(34), a QoS deduction part(36), a control part(38), a memory(40), a time slot control part(42), and an interface part(44). The antenna(28) transmits and receives RF signals. The RF part(30) performs the frequency conversion, amplification, A/D or DA conversion between a baseband signal and an RF signal. The modulation/demodulation part(32) modulates information to be transmitted, and demodulates received information. The interface part(44) executes a function to connect the base station system(12) with a network(46). The time slot control part(42) allocates a time slot to a terminal system(10) when the base station system(12) is connected to the terminal system(10). The QoS deduction part(36) measures the QoS of a received signal as the QoS of signals of a downlink line. Also the QoS deduction part(36) detects information on a modulation type, determined by a modulation type determination part(20) in the terminal system(10), from a signal received from the terminal system(10) as the QoS of signals of an uplink line. The modulation type control part(34) determines relevant modulation types for the downlink line and the uplink line respectively according to the measured QoS and the detected information.</p> |
