METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYVINYL ACETAL SPONGE HAVING DEODORIZATION AND ANION EMITTING FUNCTIONS BY USING ACTIVATED CARBON

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing polyvinyl acetal sponge is provided to increase the specific surface of the sponge, and improve the physical properties of the sponge by mixing polyvinyl alcohol resin with activated carbon powder. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing polyvinyl acetal sponge comprises the steps of: mixing 5 to 9 wt.% of polyvinyl alcohol resin, 2 to 5 wt.% activated carbon powder, 5 to 9 wt.% of formaldehyde and 77 to 88 wt.% of water(S1); mixing the first mixture with dextrin and starch(S2); heating and melting the second mixture at 60 to 80 degrees centigrade(S3); injecting 2 to 5 wt.% of foaming agent to 95 to 98 wt.% of melted mixture(S4); adding sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid to the mixture containing the foaming agent(S5); heating and foaming the mixture containing the sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid at 60 to 80 degrees centigrade(S6); and washing the foamed product with water(S7).
