PURPOSE: A torsional vibration damping device of a propeller shaft of a rear wheel-drive vehicle is provided to improve durability of the propeller shaft and to reduce vibration noise by controlling the characteristic of a damper and damping torsional vibration in the whole area at which the torsional vibration of the propeller shaft is generated. CONSTITUTION: A torsional vibration damping device of a propeller shaft of a rear wheel-drive vehicle is composed of a measuring unit(10) for measuring the torsional vibration degree of the propeller shaft; a control unit(20) for outputting a voltage control signal according to a result computed by comparing the measured torsional vibration degree with a pre-set reference vibration degree; a power supply unit(40) for feeding power by changing voltage according to the voltage control signal; and a variable damper(60) installed at the propeller shaft. The characteristic of the variable damper is adjusted by power supplied from the power supply unit.
