Seating sensor system, failure state detecting method using seating sensor and industrial vehicle with seating sensor system

The system has a seating sensor (11) detecting whether a seat (2) is occupied by a person. A microcomputer (12) controls a vehicle based on an output of the sensor. The microcomputer outputs an alarm signal indicating that the seating sensor system is in a failure state when a seating signal indicating that the seat is occupied by a person is supplied continuously for over a predetermined time period. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an industrial vehicle (b) a failure detecting method.
