Network interface

摘要

The interface (1) has a storage unit (12) for storing configuration information including programs for constructing network interface functions. A configuration unit (13) loads desired programs included in the configuration information to a programmable logic section (11) so as to construct network interface functions. A media access controller (MAC) and PHY device are software-implemented on one chip. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing a network interface.
