PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper capable of quick change, and to provide a wiper assembly for an inkjet printer capable of replacing a print head easily. SOLUTION: The wiper assembly is used for installing a wiper blade having large dimensions being used in an industrial inkjet printer. In order to provide uniform wiping action over the length of a print head, the wiper is clamped in a hard wiper blade holder. Preferably, the wiper blade holder clamps the wiper over 20% or more of the wiper height. The assembly allows use of individual wipers having different characteristics.
