PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder ensuring an image having a high image quality regardless of the type of a recording medium or the environmental conditions where hardening of ink takes place when image recording is performed by inkjet system. SOLUTION: The image recorder 1 comprising recording heads 8, 8, ... for ejecting cationic polymerization UV-curing ink onto a recording medium P and recording an image while carrying the recording medium P in a predetermined direction is further provided, on the upstream side of the recording heads 8, 8, ... in the carrying direction X of the recording medium P, with a noncontact heater 11 for heating the recording medium P through a predetermined distance from the impacting side of ink.
