The lighting system for a bathtub or shower cubicle has an array of LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) or SMD's (Surface Mounted Devices). The lights may be mounted in the corners of the shower cubicle partitions and may be fed with power from a burner or fuel cell using hydrogen and with fluid a electrolyte held in a ceramic substrate. The system includes a hybrid energy store and a current control circuit.
