A cleaning brush (7) feeds dirt from a floor into a dirt-carrying channel built into a floor-cleaning machine's casing. With holes aligned upwards on a pick-up device (20) during cleaning, dirt-pick-up containers (DPC) (9,9') fit alongside each other crosswise to the longitudinal axis of the floor-cleaning machine. A swiveling stirrup-shaped handle (10,10') fastens on the outside of the DPC. An independent claim is also included for a trash/dirt-pick-up container with a swiveling stirrup-shaped handle.
