The method involves providing an object e.g. heat insulation pipe having inner and outer pipes (1, 2). Current is passed through the object for energizing the object such that the inner and the outer pipes themselves become the heat production unit. The object has a vacuum layer formed to remove gas molecules occluded in the object. The inner and outer pipes are electrically insulated from each other.
