PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit capable of efficiently recovering energy in motor regeneration and leveling a load of a battery. SOLUTION: The power unit comprises a power converter circuit 2 that feeds power charged in the battery Eb or a capacitor C1 to a motor M1 when powering, and charges power generated by the rotation of the motor M1 to the battery Eb or the capacitor C1 when regenerating. When a charging voltage of the capacitor C1 is smaller than Vcmin when powering, and when the charging voltage of the capacitor C1 is larger than Vcmax when regenerating, only the battery Eb is connected to the power converter 2, and in cases other than these conditions, the battery Eb and the capacitor C1 are connected to the power converter 2. Thereby, the load of the battery can be leveled, thus enabling to effectively recover the power in regeneration. |
