A base metal plate has crimping projections on opposite ends of a notch provided in the intermediate plate region. A metal plate that is to be arranged successively, has a crimping hole adapted to receive the crimping projection of the base metal plate. Several metal plates of different characteristics are joined using the crimping projections and holes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) laminate core; (2) laminate metal plate manufacturing method; and (3) laminate core manufacturing method.
