The system has accelerometers (20,22) measuring motion such as a vibration and/or acceleration in x, y and z axes. The accelerometers are located under a seat cover and a backrest cover. A microprocessor converts the data received from the accelerometers into a recordable data. A housing has a hard drive to store the data, and a dock through which a portable data storage device (72) e.g. smart card, is coupled to the system.
