A base (2a) has a coupling device (6a) to link to a moving contact piece (MCP) (4a) via an operating rod (5a) and to adjust the MCP. With a fixed link to the base, a fastening device (12a) is used to adjust the coupling device continuously in freely selectable positions so as to fix the MCP within its overall range of adjustment.
