A phthalocyanine compound (1) which is produced by reacting a phthalocyanine compound (3), which does not contain organometal residual groups, with a Wilsmyer complex and a compound having a constituent such as formanilide and then by reacting with ferrocene carboxylate amide and purifying it from the resulting mixture, is new.
