<p>The invention relates to a magnetic separator for the separation of non-magnetic mineral particles whose size ranges between 1 and 6 mm, according to their density. According to the invention, the separator consists of a magnetic fluid bridge (1) inclined in relation to the horizontal plane, vertically confined by the walls of a bottomless tank (2) located between the suitable profile poles (3 and 3') of an electromagnet. The tank walls perpendicular to the pattern of the magnetic field are sheathed with cylinder-shaped ferromagnetic wires (4 and 4') attached to each other and parallel to the free surfaces of the magnetic fluid bridge. The claimed magnetic separator has a continuous operation.</p> |
