<p>The invention relates to an automatic short-circuitting clip for wide rods, used in electric power plants, for protecting the staff woking in this kind of plants. According to the invention, the clip comprises a body (1) having some guiding ribs (s) in the upper part, between said ribs there is placed a gliding ledge (13) provided with a limitting wing (u) by means of which there is adjusted an opening (v) up to the surface (k) of the body (1), depending on the width of a wide rod (A), onto which there is fixed the clip by means of a rectangular-shaped can (8), having a flat surface (h) which is parallel to the flat surface (b) of the body (1), and a side (j) in contact with a surface (k), the can (8) being actuated by a screw (5) with a thread of continuously adjustable pitch (c), which starts from one end (d) with a very large pitch, having the helix angle of dip, alpha<45 , and is terminated at the other end (e) with a very small pitch, having the helix angle of dip up to 10 , said thread (c) having a semicircular-shaped channel (o) wherein there rolls a ball (11), placed in a transverse threaded hole (p), wherein a screwed pin (12) adjusts the play between the ball and the screw, the thread (c) also having an apron (q) and locking seat (r). The clip has the advantage of a simple construction, it has reduced weight and is easy to operate and provides for a firm electric contact.</p> |
