<p>The invention relates to a process for making heterogeneous multilayer ion-exchanging membranes of the acid or basic type, bipolar or mixed, using the dry version of the phase reversal method. The process consists in preparing the solution matrix polymer of the elastomer type and the ion exchanger consisting of a cross-linked copolymer based on styrene and divinyl benzene or acrylonitrile and divinyl benzene, preparing the cross-linking agent, forming-cutting the reinforcing cloth, preparing the polymer paste and applying the same in succesive layers on an adhesion-proof carrier, curing the foil, and finally obtaining the ion-exchanging multilayer membrane having a total thickness of 0.2...0.4 mm.</p> |
