摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter mechanism which easily cuts even a comparatively thick recording medium, and is easily simplified and miniaturized. SOLUTION: This cutter mechanism 29 is provided with: a fixed cutting edge 32 fixed onto a platen 21; a cutter carriage 41 movable along the fixed cutting edge 32; a rotary cutting edge 31 rotatably supported on the upper face side of the fixed cutting edge 32 in the cutter carriage 41; and an ink carriage for moving the cutter carriage 41 to cut paper on the fixed cutting edge 32 by the rotary cutting edge 31. The cutter carriage 41 has a guide support part 42 disposed on the lower face side of the fixed cutting edge 32. The ink carriage applies moving force to the cutter carriage 41 through a power connection part 61 positioned above a paper cutting part S by the rotary cutting edge 31. The guide support part 42 is provided with a sliding contact part 42a coming in sliding contact with the lower face of the fixed cutting edge 32 on the rear side in the moving direction when cutting rather than the paper cutting part S by the rotary cutting edge 31.
