FIELD: electrochemistry, namely processes and equipment for producing hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of agitating electrolyte at electrolysis by means of pressure pulsation in the form of cyclic tension stresses created due to changing in direction of increasing working volume of electrolyzer completely filled with electrolyte between two electrodes. Housing of electrolyzer has at least one part mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion. According to invention one electrode of electrolyzer serves as such movable part.
