FIELD: plastic working of metal. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of punching in metallic band compensation opening, preliminary and final drawing of blank, punching bottom and mounting openings; blanking ready part. At making upper and lower casings of ball-and-socket joints, compensation opening is punched in the form of rectangle whose large side is inclined by angle 64 - 66° relative to lengthwise axis of metallic band. Preliminary and final deep drawing steps are realized at predetermined relation of radius of drawing punch to drawing depth value. Mounting openings are punched according to condition of arranging their centers on line inclined by angle 27 - 32° relative to lengthwise axis of metallic band. ^ EFFECT: enhanced quality of upper and lower casings, lowered labor and metal consumption at making ball-and-socket joints due to reduced quantity of waste metal. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex |
