Food product comprising fried squash or pumpkin sticks with a polygonal cross section is new. The squash or pumpkin must have similar food processing properties to the varieties Butternut or Pink Jumbo Banana. An independent claim is also included for producing the food product by preparing the squash or pumpkin sticks, blanching the sticks by frying, and coating the sticks with starch. |
