PURPOSE: A light emitting device and an electronic device are provided to independently display images on both front and back sides and to make a light emitting device in which the aperture ratio of either of the front and back displays increases. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device includes a pixel portion where a first light emitting element(151) and a second light emitting element are adjacently formed on a substrate. First and second semiconductor devices which are coupled to the first light emitting element and the second element, respectively. The first and the second semiconductor elements are formed on the substrate. The first light emitting element emits light in a direction of a first side of the substrate, and the second light emitting element emits the light in the other direction opposite from the first side of the substrate. A light emission of the first light emitting element is shielded and a light emission of the second light emitting element is shielded. The first and second semiconductor elements are covered with one of the first and the second light emitting elements.
