PURPOSE: A methods for manufacturing a color filter substrate and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided to form color filters by soft lithography without performing photolithography, thereby simplifying a manufacturing process by using a mold unit having a plurality of intaglio pattern. CONSTITUTION: The first, the second and the third color filter cell regions are defined on a substrate(100). The first color filters are formed in the first color filter cell regions by attaching the first mold unit(200) to the substrate to form the first inner spaces and filling the first inner spaces with the first color resin. The first mold unit has a plurality intaglio pattern corresponding to the first color filter regions. The first color resin is sucked in the first inner spaces by capillary attraction. The second and the third color filters are formed in the same way as the first color filters are formed.
