METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OFFERING WEB SITE SEARCH SERVICE BY ENABLING THE SEARCH FOR WEB PAGES

PURPOSE: A method and a system for offering a web site search service are provided to maximize user's convenience by offering wider search range to a user, and plan the convenience for the user and an operator of a web site by enabling the search for web pages included in the predetermined web site. CONSTITUTION: An interface(550) receives search input from the user and transmits search result data to the user. A web information database(503) stores a web page ID included in the web site and web page information matched with the web page ID. A keyword index database(502) stores keywords and the web page ID of the web page matched with the keyword. A site index database(501) stores a site ID matched with the web site and the web page ID of the web pages included in the web site. A DBMS(DataBase Management System)(520) manages the databases. A search result provider(540) extracts the web page ID by searching the databases and generates the search result data by operating the extracted web page ID.
