FAN CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD DETECTING TEMPERATURE CHANGE IN REFRIGERATING COMPARTMENT AND OPERATING FAN ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT REFERENCE TEMPERATURE FOR REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A fan control device and a method for a refrigerator are provided to decide the change of temperature in a refrigerator compartment before opening and after closing a door and to quickly recover the temperature in the refrigerator compartment by expanding the operation time of a fan. CONSTITUTION: A fan control device for a refrigerator is composed of a door opening and closing sensor(42) for detecting and informing the opening and closing of a door; a fan driving unit(15) for operating a fan(14) in a freezer compartment; a temperature sensor(26) for measuring the temperature in a refrigerator compartment; and a microcomputer(50) for recognizing the closing of the door after opening the door from the door opening and closing sensor and comparing reference temperature difference with difference between temperature before opening and after closing the door from the temperature sensor. The microcomputer compares the temperature after closing the door with a first reference temperature and operates the fan for the predetermined time by the fan driving unit according to a compared value. The microcomputer compares new temperature received from the temperature sensor after completing to drive the fan with a second reference temperature and accordingly drives the fan again for the predetermined time by the fan driving unit.
