PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel illuminating device that does not require a large space and illuminates in a plurality of colors with a single light source, particularly with a single color illuminator. SOLUTION: This reel illumination device is equipped with an illuminator 41 illuminating patterns displayed on the outside peripheries of the reels of a slot machine, a cover 42 attached as if to surround the illuminator 41, and treated with two or more colors and having translucency, and a rotating mechanism 50 supporting the cover 42 rotatably around the illuminator 41 and is structured so as to vary the transmitted colors of the illuminator 41 illuminating the patterns displayed on the outside peripheries of the reels by illuminating the patterns shown on the outside peripheries of the reels by the transmitted colors of the illuminator 41 transmitting the cover 42 and by rotating the cover 42 by the rotating mechanism 50.
