PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester enabling its proper turning action for traveling on the road by a steering lever's ordinary operation alone without the need of any additional operations including turning mode changeover operation. SOLUTION: The combine harvester is such that the machine body equipped with left and right traveling units e is mounted with implements including a reaping section (a) and a threshing section b and a control system 21. In this combine harvester, the control system 21 is designed to be switchable between a slowly turning mode and a standard turning mode and includes a means 24 for switching to one of these modes, means 22a and 22b for detecting grain culms received to the reaping section (a) and a means for counting the travel distance of the traveling units e. The control system 21 works as follows: When the travel distance exceeds a predetermined value based on the relevant means in the condition of no detection of grain culms based on the relevant means 22a and 22b, a forced switching to the standard turning mode is made.
