The control valve has an electromagnetic actuating unit (14) for an armature (18) guided in an axial sliding manner. A valve sealing unit (20) co-operates with a valve seat (21) on a base plate of a unit in the form of pot, obtained by deep embossing and forming a flat seat. The base plate is provided with orifices such that when the valve sealing unit is open, the fluid can cross the orifices.
