<p>The feeder consists of a receiving zone (2) for the powdered material, inlet (3) and outlet (7) ports, and a product circulation system. The product is circulated by two parallel augers (4, 5) that rotate in opposite directions and at the same speed. The rotation of the augers is governed by meshing toothed pinions on their axles; the two pinions are of the same diameter and have the same number of teeth. In its reception zone the feeder has a central barrier (6) that forms two channels and promotes the circulation of the powdered material. The feeder can be moved horizontally by a cam and roller mechanism to position the outlet in line with a matrix.</p> |
