WARP CONTROLLING METHOD AND DEVICE CAPABLE OF SOLVING VARIATION OF TENSION OF WARP

PURPOSE: A warp controlling method and a device thereof are characterized by rotating a warp beam to solve variation of tension of warp and preventing ununiformity of weft density. CONSTITUTION: A warp controlling method is as follows: setting a warp feed velocity pattern in advance; and then rotating a warp beam in accordance with the set warp feed velocity pattern in substitute for compensation velocity on the first period after operation start of a weaving machine. The warp feed velocity pattern is used on driving of the warp beam on a first period containing a plural pick period from the operation beginning time of the weaving machine. The warp controlling device comprises: a feed device capable of changing a rotation condition of the warp beam; and a setting device(80) setting the warp feed velocity pattern used on driving of the warp beam on the first period containing the plural pick period from the operation start of the weaving machine. Operation of the feed device is as follows: rotating the warp beam on the first period in accordance with the set warp feed velocity pattern; and then rotating the warp beam in accordance with the compensation velocity calculated based on a condition solving variation of tension of warp after the first period comes to an end.
