PURPOSE: An ink cartridge is provided to retain an ink cartridge in an ink cartridge receiving part by simply pushing the ink cartridge in the inserting direction. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge(5) is mounted on a carriage(4) having a cartridge receiving area. A one-push typed fixing member(30) placed in the position facing a side parallel to the inserting direction in which the cartridge is inserted to the cartridge receiving area is combined with a fixing protrusion(12a). The ink cartridge is retained in a specific position while being elastically pressurized by a spring in the direction opposite to the inserting direction of the cartridge.
