Pharmaceutical compositions comprising S-alkylisothiouronium derivatives for headache, migraine, nausea and emesis

The use of S-alkylisothiouronium derivatives, such as S-ethylisothiouronium diethylsphosphate, for the treatment of headache, in particular migraine, as well as for the prevention or treatment of nausea and vomiting, is disclosed. The compositions of these derivatives are effective in preventing or alleviating emesis associated with migraine or other medical conditions such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, as well as other symptoms of migraine including phonophobia and photophobia.
