APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVING A REMAINING ACF FOR PREVENTING AN LCD PANEL CRACK AND A LEAD BREAKAGE DUE TO THE USE OF CHEMICALS

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for removing a remaining ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film) are provided to prevent LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel crack and lead breakage due to the use of chemicals by removing the remaining ACF mechanically using a grind unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing a remaining ACF comprises a stage unit(100) and a grinder unit(200). The grinder unit includes a grinder head and a rotation axis for rotating the grinder head. The stage unit includes a loader for loading an LCD panel, a light sensor for detecting of the LCD panel, and a servo motor for moving the grinder unit. The grinder unit moves in X-direction with the grinder rotating on the LCD panel and the stage unit moves in Y-direction, thereby removing physically the remaining ACF of the LCD. The remaining ACF is detached from the LCD panel by rotation of the grinder head and removed by motion of the stage and the grinder units.
