PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for detaching and attaching a control rod guide tube which can detach and attach the control rod guide tube and enables smooth work. SOLUTION: The guide device 11 for detaching and attaching the control rod guide tube 6 is used to detach and attach the tube 6 inserted into the upper end of a control rod drive mechanism housing 8 and supported there during an inspection and the like in a boiling water reactor. The device 11 is equipped with vertically long supporting rods 13 and 15 which can be inserted into the control rod drive mechanism housing 8 from its lower end and a cylindrical guide member 12 which is placed at the upper end of the supporting rods 13 and 15, can move up and down to the position of a coupling part 10 at the lower end of the control rod guide tube 6 inserted into the upper end part of the control rod dive mechanism housing 8 and can guide the outer peripheral face of the coupling part 10 on the inner peripheral face of the guide member 12 so that the outer peripheral face of the coupling part 10 can slide.
