APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INFERRING POSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize inexpensive inferring of the position of a transmitting end stably in high accuracy without remarkably complicating a constitution in an apparatus and a method for inferring the position of the transmitting end for transmitting a radio wave or other wave signal. SOLUTION: The apparatus for inferring the position includes a phase difference measuring means for measuring the difference of the phases of the wave signals coming from the transmitting end to two different positions individually to two pairs from the two different positions, and an inferring means for inferring the relative position of the transmitting end as the intersection of the position lines individually showing the difference of the phases measured by the phase difference measuring means with respect to the two pairs.
