PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carousel changer in which a tray carrying an optical disk to be reproduced is accurately stopped at a prescribed position. SOLUTION: A plurality of trays 1 is arranged around a rotary shaft of a rotary table 20 provided on a carousel changer 80. A ring shaped rib R20 which includes a plurality of recessed and projected sections is formed on the rotary table 20. A sensor 9 is arranged across the rib R20 and detects the recessed and the projected sections of the rib R20 when the rotary table 20 is rotated by a motor 12. A controller 50 receives the detection result of the sensor 9 and controls the motor 12 based on the ratio of the widths of the mutually adjacent recessed and projected sections within the rib R20.
